The SL MICE Expo 2025
The Sri Lanka MICE Expo 2025, organized by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, was officially launched on 23rd September 2025 at Cinnamon Life – City of Dreams, bringing together over 115 international MICE and travel operators, media representatives, and industry stakeholders from 30 countries. Inaugurated by Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, the event strengthened Sri Lanka’s position as a leading MICE destination through business forums, B2B networking sessions, gala events, FAM tours, CSR activities, and over 10,000 anticipated B2B meetings connecting local vendors with international buyers. As part of its CSR initiative, the Expo also supported the Tiny T.E.A. Pre School & Day Care Center, Hantana by providing a Starlink internet facility and distributing stationery items for children.
Southern MICE Expo 2024
The Southern MICE Expo 2024, held from 27th to 31st May 2024, spotlighted Sri Lanka’s Southern region as an emerging hub for world-class business events. Organized by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, the event brought together over 100 hosted buyers and 15 media representatives from 17 countries, alongside local vendors. Through B2B meetings, forums, and familiarization tours, the Expo showcased the region’s scenic, cultural, and sustainable tourism potential while fostering global business connections.
Jaffna MICE Expo 2023
The Jaffna MICE Expo 2023, held from 30th November to 3rd December 2023, was a pioneering event aimed at positioning Sri Lanka’s Northern Province as a key MICE destination, with a focus on the South Indian market. Organized by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau, the Expo featured B2B meetings, forums, and cultural tours, attracting over 40 South Indian hosted buyers, 5 media representatives, and 70+ local vendors. The event highlighted Jaffna’s unique appeal and reinforced cross-border business and cultural ties.
Colombo MICE Expo 2023
The Colombo MICE Expo 2023 marked a significant step in positioning Sri Lanka as a premier MICE destination. Held from 1st to 3rd December, the event attracted over 100 international hosted buyers and numerous local professionals. Organized by SLCB and SLAPCEO, it featured industry forums, B2B meetings, and cultural tours, effectively showcasing Sri Lanka’s capacity to meet global MICE demands.
